The three-day judo tournament from the “Grand Slam” series ended yesterday in Tbilisi.
In the overall team competition, the Georgian national team took first place. Athletes of the Georgian national team earned five gold, four silver and five bronze medals.
278 judoists (173 men and 105 women) from 36 countries of the world took part in the Tbilisi tournament. Among them are 14 Turkmen judoists.
Turkmen judoka Aybek Omirov took seventh place at the tournament. In the weight category up to 70 kg in the consolation match, Omirov lost to the Japanese Genki Kogo.
