The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran organized a mass bike ride in Chitgar Park in Tehran. The event was held on June 2, and was timed to coincide with World Bicycle Day.
In accordance with report of the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department, the staff of the Embassy together with their families and representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in Iran participated in the bike ride.
The World Bicycle Day was established by the Resolution of the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan and is celebrated annually on June 3.
Let us note that these days the diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan also held bicycle actions in Mashhad, Yerevan, Tbilisi, Moscow, Paris, Delhi, Geneva and Nur-Sultan.
