Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to President of the Federal Republic of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro in connection with the tragic consequences of floods in his country, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
As a result of heavy rains that caused severe floods and landslides, dozens of houses were under obstructions in the large urban agglomeration of Recife in the state of Pernambuco in eastern Brazil, and the number of victims increased to 91 people, 26 more were missing, more than 5,000 were forced to evacuate, local authorities said.
At this difficult moment, the head of Turkmenistan conveyed words of deep empathy and support to the relatives and friends of the victims and wishes for speedy recovery to the injured.
