Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the tasks facing the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding

At the XII meeting of the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding held today in Ashgabat President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the tasks faced by this organization. A video report about this was broadcasted on the air of the information program “Vatan” of the Turkmen television.

In accordance with Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in order to further optimize its activities, the State Association “Turkmen Atlary” (“Turkmen Horses”) together with the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding should:

- To expand the scale of cooperation established with foreign horse breeding associations for centralized breeding accounting of Ahalteke horses on systematical basis;

- to implement the necessary work in order to increase the number of purebred Ahalteke horses in the world and to scientifically study the selection and breeding business executed in this direction;

- to organize scientific conferences, meetings, cultural events, equestrian competitions, exhibitions and auctions dedicated to Ahalteke horses in the country and abroad, as well as to participate in them;

- to form new breeding lines of Ahalteke horses;

- to organize and participate in international equestrian tournaments in Turkmenistan and abroad;

- to create an international studbook of purebred Ahalteke horses of the world;

- to organize performances in foreign countries of the world-famous group of national equestrian games “Galkynysh”;

- to prepare books, as well as to carry out digital promotions in order to popularize the culture and art of Ahalteke horse breeding;

- to encourage the activities of the members of the Association for the development and wide popularization of Ahalteke horse breeding.

“All this should become the basis for modern organization of the work of the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding”, - underlined the head of Turkmenistan, summarizing the said above.

Let’s remind that the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding with headquarters in Ashgabat was established in 2010. It unites 188 specialists from Turkmenistan, as well as hippologists, other connoisseurs of “winged” horses from more than thirty countries of the planet.
