Ashgabat resumed the work of the Center for Yoga and Traditional Medicine, operating at the sport complex “Bagtyyarlyk”, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”. Indian master Mrs. Sheetal Dalvi conducts the hatha yoga classes.
This Center was opened in 2015, and since that the number of yoga enthusiasts has increased among citizens.
The solemn events in honor of the International Yoga Day holds every year in the Center.
It is worth to note, that yoga therapy is studied at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan as a subject of the Department of Restorative and Alternative Medicine. In the Medical and Consultative Center of Turkmenistan, medical specialists use it in their practice.
