The Belgian authorities have decided to close the chocolate factory for the production of Kinder brand products in the city of Arlon due to an outbreak of salmonellosis. This decision was made after the British Food Standards Agency (FSA) recalled all Kinder products produced between June and April 8. The FSA is also investigating cases of salmonella infection related to the relevant products.
In accordance with the data of the United Kingdom Health Safety Agency (UKSA), 67 citizens of the country have been infected with salmonella, many of whom are under five years old. Ferrero, which is the owner of the Kinder brand, expressed deep regret about the incident and apologized to consumers and business partners, reports riafan.ru.
