The DHL cargo plane crashed, at the airport of Costa Rica, when making an emergency. As informs “MIR24”, the Boeing 757 fell off the runway, broke in half and caught fire. During the incident no one was injured, the crew of the aircraft was evacuated before the start of the fire.
The cargo plane, bound for Guatemala, requested permission to return to the airport of departure shortly after takeoff due to a hydraulic failure.
An accident on the runway of the San Jose Metropolitan Airport caused disruption to flight schedules. Airport services had to redirect at least 32 flights to other air harbors.
