The pace of agricultural work was the focus of the meeting, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held online on March 28, reported the State news agency of Turkmenistan.
In this regard the head of state listened to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, who charges the agro-industrial complex, and also heads of administrations of the country’s regions.
The head of state was informed, that at present time, the cotton sowing is in full swing in Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats. 19 thousand 561 hectares have been sown with this crop to date. Dashoguz velayat preparing to start sowing cotton on March 30, and preparations for this campaign are underway.
E. Orazgeldiyev reported, that farmers in the country’s velayats take care of wheat crops, top-dressing with mineral fertilizers, and water seedlings. Systematically work is carried out to provide the population with domestic products – potatoes, vegetable and melon crops. In this regard at present time in accordance with agrotechnical requirements, crop of early potatoes on 30 thousand hectares and onions on 10 thousand hectares are being cared for. At the same time, continuous the sowing of other vegetable and gourd crops.
Also, the vice-premier said, that at present time the ministries and departments, hyakimliks of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat continue to plant trees in the spring and take care of them.
The President of Turkmenistan gave specific instructions on conducting seasonal agricultural work. In particular, for sowing cotton, ensuring the smooth operation of agricultural machinery and units, caring for wheat crops, feeding them with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation in agrotechnical terms and at a highly level.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to take care of plantings of early potatoes and onions in accordance with agricultural standards in all velayats of the country, and also to sow other vegetable and melon crops in a timely manner.
The head of the state focusing on the importance of the spring planting campaign ordered, to observe all the requirements for planting and caring for tree seedlings.
