The start to spring gardening campaign confined to the International day Novruz – the National Spring Holiday was given today in Turkmenistan with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
This bright holiday from ancient times embodying the triumph of life, is widely celebrated all over the world. Confirmation of the great importance of Novruz, glorifying the distinctive traditions and customs of the peoples of the East, including the Turkmen, was its inclusion in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and securing for it the high status of an international holiday - the Day of Solidarity and Good Neighborly Relations, Humanitarian cooperation and Mutual Understanding between peoples.
In the early morning, numerous participants of the event gathered on the territory of the Berkararlyk etrap of the capital. The festive atmosphere was supported everywhere by music and songs performed by masters of the arts, giving a special flavor to today's event.
The presidential automobile draws up to the gardening company’s starting place. Here the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh, Here the Chairman of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh, Government members, the representatives of the ministries and departments, numerous residents of the capital met the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Having warmly greeted the participants of today’s action, among whom there are a lot of youngsters, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov forwards to the area prepared for planting.
A representative of the younger generation approaches the President of the country. The boy greets the head of state, wishes him health and great success in his multifaceted activities and requests him to start a landscaping campaign.
The President of the country planted the first tree, giving the start of the current landscaping campaign. Handing a memorable gift to the boy, the head of state took a picture with him.
Following the example of the President of Turkmenistan all the members of gardening campaign started planting trees.
At the end of the landscaping campaign, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked the artists for their creative performances, which raised the spirit and working vibe of the participants of the environmental action, and, warmly saying goodbye, left the territory of the forest plantations.
The mass tree planting actions conducted throughout the country become not only a real celebration of inspired work of Turkmen people, but also one more loyalty testimony of spiritual national heritages and values, one of which is the care of the national land, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Let’s remind that 3 million seedlings of deciduous, coniferous and fruit trees and grapes are planned to be planted in 2022 in the country. The Ministries and institutions in Turkmenistan, as well as hakimlik of Ashgabat will plant one and half million seedlings during this year. The planting the same number of young trees will be provided by the regional administrations of the country.
