Turkmenistan will continue providing support to the most vulnerable categories of the population, including large families, the disabled and the elderly, children who have lost their parents, and veterans by improving the laws in force in this area. President, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov set such a task for the People's Deputies, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.
Speaking to representatives of the two Chambers of the Parliament, Berdimuhamedov noted that it is necessary to analyze legislative acts and systematically improve existing norms that envisage the provision of benefits and support for these groups of people. According to him, the Government had already adopted a number of important decisions to support these categories of the population. Thus, they are provided with benefits and additional assistance at the expense of state and public funds.
To recap, in January 2022, a number of new laws in the field of social protection came into force.
