After more than 150 years, a giant stone statue known as the head of Moai Tau returns to Easter Island. The monolith, weighing 715 kg, was removed from the island a century and a half ago and is now returning home as part of a program for the repatriation of sacred objects, informs euronews.
The locals celebrated the event with a ceremonial dance.
