Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the occasion of the National holiday – the Day of Statehood, the Information Program "Watan" of the National Television reported.
The Head of Turkmenistan expressed the best wishes to his Serbian counterpart and in his person to the people of a friendly country.
Serbia's Statehood Day – the main National holiday of this Balkan country - is celebrated on February 15.
It should be noted that diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Serbia were established on August 26, 1996.
In June 2021, during an online meeting between Foreign Ministers Rashid Meredov and Nikola Selakovich, agreements were reached on the development of a Draft Roadmap for bilateral cooperation that will include a list of specific measures aimed at further developing a multifaceted partnership, including the development of a contractual and legal framework of interaction, cooperation in trade, textile industry, gas chemical sector, as well as education and science, where both countries have solid potential.
