Paramount Studios has partnered with Spyglass Media to announce the development of the sixth film in the “Scream” slasher franchise.
Filming is scheduled to begin this summer. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Probably, the action of the film will again unfold in the town of Woodsboro, where the heroes of Marley Shelton, Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell met again in the fifth tape. The film will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillette. The script for the new part will be written by James Vanderbilt (“Murder Mystery”) and Guy Busick (“Ready or Not”). Thus, the same team that participated in the creation of the fifth film in the franchise will work on the new Scream.
