The UK authorities are lifting restrictions imposed in December last year due to the spread of the “Omicron” strain. The country cancels the mask regime, remote work and COVID-passports, reports MIR 24.

Even though the wearing of masks is no longer mandatory, the government still recommends wearing them in crowded indoor areas. In addition, after March 24, it is planned to completely cancel the self-isolation regime, and the coronavirus will be downgraded to a common flu.

The British authorities explain their decision by the success of the vaccination campaign. Thus, almost 85% of the adult population in the country are vaccinated.
