In China, in the world-famous Terracotta Army Museum, previously unknown figurines made of gold, silver and bronze were found. According to RIA Novosti with reference to the “Xinhua” news agency, unique artifacts were found in pit number one. In addition to figurines, the remains of a horse and a chariot were also excavated. According to archaeologists, the found relics indicate the high status of the owner of the tomb. Specialists were able to restore gold and silver figurines of camels, dancing figurines made of gold, a jade tripod and a hound dog made of silver.
The Terracotta Warriors Army was discovered in 1974. The statues were buried together with the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, Shi Huangdi, in 210-209 B.C.E. Clay warriors are in battle formation in parallel crypts 1,5 km east of the emperor's tomb.
