American designer clothing company Ralph Lauren has designed the uniforms for the US national team, that will travel to the XXIV Winter Olympics in Beijing next month, reports WWD (Women's Wear Daily).
The sports collection is made in the colors of the flag of America - a red-white-blue color palette. In the manufacture of anorak, trousers and gloves, designers have applied the innovative Intelligent Insulation technology, which makes the fabric sensitive to temperature changes. The personal thermal management system allows garments to expand in the cold and contract at higher temperatures when insulation is not needed.
Another advantage is that the American team's sportswear is made from sustainable polyester fiber obtained from recycled plastic bottles.
