President of Pakistan will visit Turkmenistan to participate in the 15 ECO summit

President of Pakistan Arif Alvi, at the invitation of the head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will pay an official visit to the city of Ashgabat. This was reported by Radio Pakistan.

In Ashgabat, Arif Alvi will take part in the fifteenth summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

Also, within the framework of the visit of the head of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, a number of bilateral meetings are planned.

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a regional multilateral structure established in 1985 to promote the development of close trade and economic ties between the countries of the region. Currently, its members are 10 states - Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

Earlier it was reported that the summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation is planned to be held in Ashgabat at the “Karakum” hotel.
