The Olympic national football team of Turkmenistan, which won the right to play in the final tournament of the Asian Cup among youth teams in 2022, will be in the fourth basket during the draw.
In addition to our team, the national teams of Tajikistan, Malaysia and Kuwait will be in the second basket.
The remaining baskets will look like this:
Pot 1: Uzbekistan (host), Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia.
Pot 2: Jordan, Thailand, UAE, Iran.
Pot 3: Iraq, Qatar, Vietnam, Japan.
After the draw, the teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. The top two teams from the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
The final tournament will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent from June 1 to June 19, 2022.
According to the results of the final stage, which is qualifying, the three best teams will be eligible to represent Asia at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
