President of Kyrgyzstan signed a law banning smoking of any tobacco products

On September 28, the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the Law "On protecting the health of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from the consequences of the consumption of tobacco, nicotine and exposure to ambient tobacco smoke and aerosol."

A bill proposing the introduction of a ban on smoking any tobacco products was adopted by parliament on July 29 this year, centralasia.news reports, citing the press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan. The main goal of the adopted law is to protect the health of the population of Kyrgyzstan from the consequences of tobacco consumption. As the newspaper notes, the ban applies to all public places, in particular cafes and restaurants, and advertising of any tobacco products and hookah is prohibited.
