Moscow will host the second Caspian Economic Forum in autumn 2021

The Second Caspian Economic Forum will be held in Moscow in the fall of 2021, the CIS Internet portal reports.

The Forum will become the largest platform in the post-pandemic period for discussing topical issues of cooperation between the countries participating in the Caspian region, as well as bordering friendly states. During the Forum, issues of developing trade and economic cooperation, interaction in the field of ecology, energy, transport and logistics, energy and tourism, urban infrastructure and the social and humanitarian sphere will be discussed.

It is planned that the Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, official delegations of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, representatives of federal and regional authorities of Russia, heads of leading companies will take part in it. The business agenda and the exhibition within the framework of the Forum will attract a lot of attention from Russian and foreign media.

The “Zero” day program includes visits by official delegations to a number of Moscow city infrastructure facilities, during which it is planned to demonstrate the functionality and effectiveness of the Smart City system elements implemented in the Russian capital.

The decision to hold the Caspian Economic Forum was made by the heads of the five Caspian states at the Fifth Caspian Summit on August 12, 2018 in Kazakhstan.

The First Caspian Economic Forum was held on August 12, 2019 in Turkmenistan.
