Rector of KSAU and Consul General of Turkmenistan discussed issues of cooperation in the educational sphere

On September 17, 2021, at the Kazan State Agrarian University (KSAU), the Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation in the city of Kazan A.Kh. Bayramov met with the Rector of KSAU A.R. Valiev, the official website of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan reports.

The topic of the meeting was the discussion of issues of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres, improving the quality of training of future Turkmen specialists, improving their living conditions in hostels, their participation in the life of an educational institution, etc.

Kazan State Agrarian University was founded in 1922 and will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. Among the graduates of KSAU are famous political figures of the Republic of Tatarstan, including the current President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, the First President of the Republic of Tatarstan M.Sh. Shaimiev and other political figures of the Russian Federation.

Currently, about five thousand students are studying at KSAU, of which 120 are foreign. Turkmen students make up 20% of foreign students studying at KSAU.

Then a meeting was held with Turkmen students studying at this university. The representative of the Consulate General called on Turkmen students to actively participate in sports, cultural and other events, to improve their theoretical and practical skills. It was also said about the readiness of the diplomatic institution to provide all the necessary consular and other support.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the need for online lectures by professors of KSAU for students of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, organizing a video meeting for rectors, as well as on providing budget places for Turkmen students in the 2022-2023 academic year.
