Today, Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Japanese Minister of State Ejima Kiyoshi, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.
In accordance with the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, “based on the principles of friendship, trust and mutual respect.”
It was emphasized that Japan is one of the main partners of Turkmenistan in the field of investment, there are active contacts with various Japanese companies. In this context, the importance of Joint Committees on Economic Cooperation was particularly noted.
Recall that in July of this year, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Kiyoshi Ejima held a meeting in Tokyo, during which, among other issues, the possibilities of developing cooperation in the field of energy and industry were also discussed.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the Japanese side to take part in the solemn ceremony of commissioning a new gas turbine power plant in Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan, the construction of which was implemented by Sumitomo Corporation (Japan).
