On September 1, Ashgabat and the country as a whole will host festive celebrations in honor of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. Preparations for these events were discussed at today's meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Several new secondary schools will open in the country, and all first-graders will receive computers on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a gift.
Having listened to the reports of the responsible deputy prime ministers, the head of state emphasized the importance of improving the national education system in order to educate a worthy young generation of Turkmen citizens, who “will have to continue the great undertakings of the modern era of the sovereign Motherland”.
