President of Turkmenistan opened a giant White Yurt in Balkanabat

Today, as part of a working trip to Balkan velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the “Türkmeniň ak öýi” building, built in the form of a giant white yurt and intended for mass events of national and international importance, festive performances, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

According to the Decree of the head of state, signed in 2018, this large social and cultural facility for 3 thousand places was built by IE “Rovshen”.
To the friendly applause of the audience, the President of Turkmenistan, together with honorary elders and representatives of the older generation from five velayats and the capital, cut the symbolic ribbon, opening a new facility.

Having entered the building, the leader examined the exhibition deployed here, which allows one to get a visual idea of the types of national arts and crafts and creativity, the diversity and originality of folk crafts.

On the way, the head of state got acquainted with the design and arrangement of “Türkmeniň ak öýi”, in the guise of which advanced achievements in the field of urban planning and architecture and the best traditions of national architecture found a harmonious combination, with the conditions created here for holding events of various levels, festive celebrations.

The building, equipped with an integrated life support system, was erected using modern building and finishing materials. Its interior design, in which elements of national decor and carpet ornaments are widely used, is distinguished by its original flavor.

Within the walls of “Türkmeniň ak öýi” there is a large concert hall equipped with all the necessary equipment, a spacious hall, office and other specialized premises. In fact, this is a whole complex of objects, including a separate room for a garden, also for 3 thousand seats. The adjacent territory is fully landscaped. Many coniferous and decorative trees have been planted here, an access road has been laid, and a lighting system is provided.

Ornate yurts “ak öýi” and traditional high swings are installed nearby.

Upon completion of familiarization with the new building, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the hall, where, on the occasion of the significant event, a concert of masters of arts of Turkmenistan took place, during which popular and young artists, creative groups of the country demonstrated their skills and talent in performing songs and dances, choral and folklore art.

The performance of the group of national equestrian games “Galkynysh” of the Ahalteke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan took place here. The honed skills of horse riding and trick riding, performance of exciting acrobatic stunts have earned this team recognition and fame both in our country and far beyond its borders. Over the past years, the “Galkynysh” group has made a number of foreign tours, crowned with great success, and also took part in prestigious international competitions, having received many awards.

At the end of the concert, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a memorable entry in the Book of Honorary Guests.

In commemoration of today's event, the head of state donated to “Türkmeniň ak öýi”, built in Balkanabat, a new bus designed for creative teams that will work here.

Then the President of Turkmenistan took part in the festive sadaka. Upon its completion, the leader of the nation warmly said goodbye to the audience and left the place.

On the same day, the head of state returned to Ashgabat.

Let us remind you that earlier giant White yurts were built in Mary, Ahal and Lebap. By the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, such a symbolic circular structure will enter operation in Dashoguz.

Earlier, “Turkmenportal” reported that the President of Turkmenistan had launched the construction of an international airport in Jebel, and that hospitals in the western region received 10 new ambulances from the Berdimuhamedov Foundation.
