In the morning, the head of state proceeded to the southern part of Ashgabat, where the business and cultural center of the capital is being formed against the picturesque background of the Kopetdag mountains, as well as a complex of ultra-modern medical facilities of the international level. Here, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov launched an environmental and sports campaign, starting a route along the most beautiful highways of the country's main city, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdylyev, who is in charge of the capital.

The President of Turkmenistan focused on the need to constantly keep in sight the issues of improving the ecology and planting of greenery in the city, maintaining parks and squares in proper condition, which are favorite places for recreation of residents and guests of Ashgabat, and further improving the level and quality of life of citizens.
On the route of the bike ride, at the crossroads near the Monument of Neutrality, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, heads of military and law enforcement agencies joined the action.

In this regard, a corresponding program has been developed, according to which, in order to provide residents and guests of the city with high-quality transport services, an intensive movement of passenger buses and taxis has been established.
During the bike ride, the head of state focused on the tasks of further improving the social and living conditions of the people, based on modern requirements.
At the end of the cycling marathon at the main square of the country, its participants proceeded to the “Ashgabat” Monument, where a celebration took place in conjunction with today's action organized in honor of the 140th anniversary of the capital, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
