President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered a mass improvement action in honor of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat and the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan to be held in the Turkmen capital on April 17.
"Such events should be held at a high organizational level, in an atmosphere of unity and high spiritual uplift, inherent in the Turkmen people," Berdimuhamedov said.
Noting the need for appropriate care of tree seedlings in green areas expanding their boundaries, the head of state emphasized the importance of the work being done to improve the city and the planned mass action to maintain cleanliness, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
