2,100 tons of silkworm cocoons will be produced in Turkmenistan in 2021. The corresponding Resolution was signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the “Vatan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.
In accordance with the document, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and hyakimliks of the velayats were instructed to ensure the production of silkworm cocoons in 2021: in Ahal velayat - 155 tons, Balkan velayat - 25 tons, Dashoguz velayat - 500 tons, Lebap velayat - 1,010 tons and Mary velayat - 410 tons.
The document ordered the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection to conclude general agreements with the hyakimliks of the velayats on the production of silkworm cocoons, as well as to provide the farms' associations of velayats, agricultural enterprises, farms, tenants and landowners with the necessary amount of high-quality silkworm grains.
The hyakimliks of the velayats are instructed to ensure the full implementation of contractual obligations in accordance with this Resolution.
