Today, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution authorizing the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to implement the established volumes of various types of cotton fiber for industrial processing at appropriate prices to the Ministry of Textile Industry, reports the information program “Vatan” of Turkmen television.
The relevant decision was taken “in order to effectively utilize the production capacities of the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry” notes the document.
In accordance with the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister Chary Gilyjov, according to the instructions of the head of the state enterprise of the Ministry for cotton processing in 2021, it is planned to buy 145 557.5 tons of cotton fiber, 8500 tons of fine fibrous, 200 tons of short-stapled cotton and 200 tons of cotton wool.
Having noticed that the cotton, grown by the conscientious work of dayhans, is being bought and processed at textile enterprises, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of timely construction and commissioning of industrial facilities. Among them are a textile complex with an annual capacity of 3,650 tons of cotton yarn in the Kaahka etrap of the Ahal velayat, as well as a textile complex with an annual capacity of 3,300 tons of fine fibrous yarn in the Babadayhan etrap of the Ahal velayat. 2450 new jobs will be created with their opening.
In this regard, the main tasks are to increase the volume of turnover, commodity abundance and saturation of the domestic market with the necessary textile products. Particular attention should be paid to the increase in the production of export-oriented products, the head of state stressed.
