The Belarusian Embassy in Turkmenistan hosted a briefing and a friendly lunch with the participation of the heads of diplomatic missions of the CIS member states, dedicated to the beginning of Belarus chairmanship in the Commonwealth in 2021. This was announced by the official website of the Belarusian Embassy.

Ambassador Vyacheslav Beskosty informed the participants of the event about the priorities of the chairmanship of Belarus, voiced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei at the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth on January 28, 2021, as well as about the events planned for the current year.

The guests of the event were also informed about the results of the All Belarusian People's Assembly held in Minsk on February 11-12, 2021.

Recall that in 2019, the chairmanship in the CIS belonged to Turkmenistan, and in 2020 to Uzbekistan.
