The Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan received a severe reprimand with the last warning

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reprimanded the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Magtymguly Bayramdurdyev for improper performance of official duties, shortcomings in work. The head of state signed the corresponding order today during a working meeting on the development of agriculture, the Vatan news program of the Turkmen television reported.

A severe reprimand was announced “with the last warning about the correction of the shortcomings in the shortest possible time,” the document says.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the results of the work carried out in the agro-industrial complex, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized that maintaining the accelerated pace of agricultural development is one of the priority tasks.

“The state will continue to provide support to the industry in order to increase the production of agricultural products and fully meet the population's demand for food products,” the leader of the nation emphasized and addressed the Minister with instructions regarding the rational and efficient use of agricultural fields and pastures, increasing crop yields and development seed production, implementation of international experience and preparation of methodological manuals in this area.

“In connection with the state of the world economy, it is necessary to expand the range and increase the volume of production of food products in demand by the population,” Berdimuhamedov said.

It was also emphasized that it is necessary to keep under strict control the rational and efficient use of agricultural machinery purchased by the state for foreign currency on preferential terms.

The President of Turkmenistan ordered to ensure the purchase at optimal prices of imported goods, raw materials, chemicals and consumables, spare parts used in food and agricultural production, which should not be higher than prices for other countries in the region, to establish direct cooperation with manufacturers necessary for domestic Agribusiness products.

Emphasizing the importance of strict control over the purposeful and efficient use of land resources for agricultural production, the head of state gave the task to accelerate work on the creation of a unified system of the State Land Cadastre by the end of this year by introducing modern equipment, software and training relevant specialists.

The President of Turkmenistan also gave relevant instructions regarding the increase in the number of livestock in the country, the creation of a reliable fodder base for animal husbandry, the construction of new shepherds for sheep.
