Erdogan congratulates Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan on the New Year

The Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey, during a telephone conversation held today at the initiative of the Turkish side, exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the coming New Year, sincerely wishing the fraternal peoples of the two countries well-being and prosperity.

Warmly welcoming each other, the leaders of the two countries exchanged congratulations on the coming New Year, 2021, wished health, happiness, great success in all endeavors for the welfare and prosperity of the Turkmen and Turkish peoples.

During the conversation, the parties stated with satisfaction that at present, centuries-old friendly relations serve as a solid basis for further strengthening interstate ties. At the highest level, multifaceted cooperation is carried out in the political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. A fruitful dialogue at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organizations is being built on the principles of complete mutual understanding and mutual support.

The interlocutors noted the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral trade and economic ties and stressed the importance of further expanding partnerships in the energy, transport and communication, industrial sectors.

The humanitarian sphere is an integral part of interstate relations, which is also due to the historical, cultural and spiritual community that unites the peoples of Turkmenistan and Turkey. In this regard, the heads of the two states confirmed their mutual focus on deepening fruitful contacts in the fields of science, education, culture and healthcare.

At the end of the telephone conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan again exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the coming New Year, sincerely wishing the fraternal peoples of the two countries well-being and prosperity, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
