Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the head of the country office of the World Health Organization Paulina Karvovska, whose mission in our country is ending.
During the meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Health Organization, which has noticeably intensified in recent years, reports the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The interlocutors noted the importance of this UN specialized agency, which occupies an important position in the fight against threats and challenges to human health. In this context, the commitment of Turkmenistan to further support the activities of WHO was confirmed.
The Turkmen side expressed gratitude to Ms. Karvovskaya for her personal and professional contribution to the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and WHO, including the development of national plans and programs.
Thanking for the kind words and wishes addressed to her, the head of the WHO country office thanked the Government of Turkmenistan for the assistance provided in the implementation of its humane activities.
