On the eve of the Ashgabat hosted the opening ceremony of the new residential houses under the 16th stage of development of the capital and the shopping center "Gul Zemin".
CJSC "The Ashgabat city telephone network" launched in a new residential area network based on GPON technology (Gigabit Passive Optical Network), providing the population of modern telecommunications service.
Through ONT terminals installed in each home, subscribers will simultaneously be provided with three main telecommunications services-telephony, Internet and IP-TV. The quality and bandwidth of the network will ensure the operation of all services at an impeccable level, according to the official website of the AGTS.
Providing communication services to subscribers using GPON technology is currently the main focus for major global telecommunications operators.
The advantage of the GPON network is not only in connection speed, but also in a large "safety margin" for the future: even if in 10 years’ users will need an even faster Internet to access more voluminous content, the network will be ready to provide the necessary channel bandwidth.
