“Russian language masters” competition was launched by “Rossotrudnichestvo” together with the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian language and The Expert Advisory Council for the promotion and support of Russian education, science, and the Russian language abroad.
Undergraduates and postgraduates studying in the fields of "Education and pedagogical Sciences" and "Linguistics and literary studies" are invited to take part in the competition. To participate, you must register before
October 31 on the portal "Education in Russian" and follow the suggested instructions. It also provides detailed information and conditions for the competition.
Goals and objectives of the competition:
- formation of the personnel reserve of RKI teachers;
- assistance in the dissemination and promotion of the Russian language in the world;
- RKI higher education institutions' students who demonstrate deep knowledge of the Russian language and methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language, who are proficient in modern methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language;
- improving the quality of training for undergraduates and postgraduates;
- increasing students' motivation to improve their professional and communication skills.
Terms of the contest:
the first stage of the competition runs until November 10. At the first stage, participants must create a portfolio on the Pushkin Institute's Internet resource "Education in Russian".
At the second stage, which will be held from November 16 to November 25, the finalists will have to complete competitive tasks in the Russian language.
As a prize, the winners will have the opportunity to practice in Russian centers of science and culture – representative offices of “Rossotrudnichestvo”, as well as in foreign educational organizations, including leading universities of the world as interns-teachers of Russian as a foreign language in full-time or online formats (in case of introduction of quarantine measures).
The announcement of the competition winners and distribution of the winners for the internship will take place from February 2, 2020.
