IMO the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan agreed to expand cooperation

The round table in the format of a video conference dedicated to the study of new trends in Turkmen-Uzbek relations was attended by the ambassadors of the two countries Ya. Mammedov and A. Kuchkarov, heads and faculty of the Institute of international relations (IMO) of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the University of world economy diplomacy of Uzbekistan (UWED). This is reported by the website of the International conference "the policy of neutrality and its role in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development".

On the agenda were also issues of training of young diplomats and the implementation of the "Memorandum of cooperation between the Institute of international relations of MFA of Turkmenistan and the UWED", signed during the official visit of President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan were discussed at the "round table" online.

The rectors of the two universities spoke about the diverse activities of the institutes, their structural changes and expanding potential. The discussion focused on the exchange of experience in organizing educational and scientific work in online technologies in the context of a global pandemic.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Yazguly Mammedov noted that about 2000 Turkmen students are currently studying at universities in Uzbekistan and spoke about the state and prospects of bilateral relations in the field of education.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov put forward a number of constructive proposals for cooperation between the two universities, in particular, for organizing joint events dedicated to the initiatives of the leaders of the two countries in regional and international politics.

As a result of the round table, an agreement was reached to expand cooperation in the exchange of students, masters, teachers, as well as scientific publications, joint research, and online scientific conferences and seminars.
