A Turkmen swimmer took part in an online swim under the auspices of FINA

The international swimming Federation (FINA) has organized a series of virtual events for its training centers, one of which operates in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.

Swimmers from Kazan (Russia), as well as from Phuket (Thailand) and Florida (USA) swam in pools at various distances, and then exchanged their results.

At the Kazan aquatics Palace, Musa Jalaev from Turkmenistan and Davor Petrovski from Northern Macedonia started the 200-meter complex swimming event, while Arina Baykova from Latvia swam the 400-meter complex swimming event. According to the results of the heats, two representatives of the Kazan FINA center showed the best results at their distances, Tatar-inform reports.

One of the most promising Turkmen swimmers, Musa Jalayev, is training in Kazan under the FINA Scholarship program. He got there as a result of a strict selection conducted jointly by the Ministry of sports and youth policy of Turkmenistan, the water sports Federation of our country and the International water sports Federation (FINA).
