Due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the region and the world, Turkmenistan will strengthen control at transit checkpoints. The relevant Resolution was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of The Cabinet of Ministers today.
The document approved the Procedure for carrying out special and more enhanced additional types of control at transit checkpoints of the state border of Turkmenistan in the event of any situations that can cause mass harm to the health of the population, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.
The resolution provides for the above-mentioned types of control at checkpoints, disinfection and disinfection works on road and railway transport, as well as fumigation treatment against insects in accordance with the results of the initial inspection of imported goods subject to mandatory quarantine.
These measures are taken "in order to strengthen measures to protect public health, sanitary protection of the country's territory and prevention of dangerous infectious diseases," the Decree emphasizes.
