On Friday, September 25, Kherson hosted the VII Baltic-black sea economic forum, during which the company "Turkmen Milli Logistik" and the sea port of Kuryk (Kazakhstan) signed an agreement on cooperation in the Caspian Sea, the newspaper reports khersononline.net.

The signing of the agreement on cooperation in the Caspian Sea demonstrates that Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are close and reliable partners for market participants from the black sea and Baltic sea regions, the press service of the forum noted.

"In addition, the General Director of the company "Turkmen Milli Logistik" Begench Mamedov demonstrated progress in fulfilling the task set by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the first Caspian economic forum in Turkmenbashi on the need to develop cooperation and form a transport corridor to the shores of the Baltic sea," the organizers added.

This year, delegations from 13 countries took part in the VII Baltic-black sea economic forum in Ukraine: Poland, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Jordan, Bulgaria, Finland, India, Estonia, Iran, Slovakia, Great Britain.

One of the most pressing issues at the forum was the issue of strengthening cooperation between the countries of the Baltic-black sea region in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

JSC "Turkmen Milli logistik" is a Turkmen national freight forwarding company that has direct contracts with the agencies of railway, automobile, sea and river transport of Turkmenistan. It also cooperates with the largest owners of rolling stock and freight forwarders in the CIS countries, the Mediterranean Sea and the Baltic States.

The Kazakh port of Kuryk is located on the Eastern shore of the Caspian Sea and started its operations in December 2016. It is worth noting that last year the port of Kuryk and LLC "Global Multimodal Logistics" announced cooperation in the creation and development of a single logistics center of the company in Kherson.
