President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a draft resolution "On approval of the main directions of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2021" at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty held via video link. This is reported by the Country's state news Agency.
The Resolution prescribes:
1. approve the main directions of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2021 as defined in The speech of the President of Turkmenistan at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty.
2. state authorities should carry out the necessary work for the systematic implementation of the country's socio-economic development program for 2019-2025.
3. Instruct public organizations and mass media of Turkmenistan to popularize and explain to the population the program of socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025 and initiatives aimed at grandiose transformations, large-scale reforms carried out on the basis of the Constitution of Turkmenistan to ensure stable political, socio-economic and cultural development of the country.
As we wrote earlier, the President of the country, speaking to the delegates of the People's Council, outlined the course of internal and external socio-economic policy of the state, in particular, noting:
"Our main goal is to ensure a happy life for our dear people. In the name of this, we will continue our social policy. We will regularly increase monthly wages and pensions. We will take all measures to accelerate the development of our economy and increase the country's authority in the international arena."
