The gas chemical complex "Garabogazkarbamid" located in the village of Garabogaz of the Turkmenbashi etrap is increasing the production of urea fertilizers from natural gas, the newspaper "Balkan" reports.
Since the beginning of the year, the plant has produced and delivered to consumers 766.5 thousand tons of urea fertilizers, and the growth rate of production at the enterprise has increased more than three times.
Thus, at present, in accordance with the agreements concluded, the plant, along with the supply of urea fertilizers marked "Made in Turkmenistan", also successfully supplies sodium sulfate to the foreign and domestic markets.
High results were achieved in the production of sodium sulfate. Since the beginning of this year, 383 tons of these products have been produced and shipped to consumers. This means that production growth increased 3.6 times compared to the same period last year.
The annual capacity of the complex is 1 million 155 thousand tons of urea and 660 tons of ammonia. The raw material for production is natural gas from nearby fields. The construction of a urea plant on the coast of the Caspian Sea makes it possible to export its products to world markets via sea and rail transport.
