President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the Regulation on mandatory state individual insurance for passengers of all types of transport, crew members of air, sea, river, road transport and railway transport workers. The corresponding Decree "to improve the compulsory state insurance in accordance with the Air code of Turkmenistan, the merchant shipping Code of Turkmenistan, the Laws "On automobile transport", "Railway transport" and "On insurance", as well as provide insurance coverage to employees and passengers of all modes of transport" was signed today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers the head of state, told the news program "Watan" Turkmen television.
The document instructs the Ministry of Finance and economy, in coordination with the State insurance organization, to approve the Procedure for creating and spending insurance funds for mandatory state individual insurance of passengers of all types of transport, crew members of air, sea, river, road transport and railway transport workers in accordance with the established procedure.
As noted at the Government meeting, the document takes into account the peculiarities of the national economy, the terms are brought into line with the new legislation, and specific cases and provisions are defined to provide insurance protection for passengers of all types of transport and transport workers.
Signing this Resolution and the Decree on invalidating certain parts of the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan No. 1646 of September 27, 1995 "on mandatory state insurance of passengers of all types of transport, air transport crew members, employees of railway, sea, inland water bodies and road transport", President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that improving the procedure for insurance activities and organizing the work of this sector in accordance with the realities of the time is among the priority vectors of state policy. The head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister Gadyrgeldy Mushshikov to keep under control the implementation of the tasks outlined in this direction.
