Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Ashgabat international airport, which is the largest air Harbor in the region and one of the world's leading technological facilities.
According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, all opportunities for flights to various destinations have been created here, and comfortable conditions have been provided for passengers.
On a systematic basis, the material and technical base of the airport and, in General, the domestic civil aviation is being strengthened. The state provides all necessary support to the work of the Agency "Turkmen airlines", whose fleet is regularly replenished with aircraft of the world-famous brand "Boeing".
Program measures are also being implemented to ensure the coordinated activities of all airport structures, introduce the latest technologies and international best practices, which plays a significant role in enhancing cooperation with foreign partners, and building the potential of the transport complex as an important sector of the national economy.
The head of "Turkmen airlines" Dovran Saburov reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the results of the work carried out, the fulfillment of the tasks set, as well as on the steps taken to improve the skills of industry specialists.
The head of state noted that civil aviation plays an important role in the comprehensive development of Turkmenistan and the strengthening of the national economy. In this regard, the key requirement is the strict implementation of the tasks assigned to "Turkmen airlines" arising from the program of socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025, bringing the work performed in accordance with the spirit of the times.
Speaking about this, the President of Turkmenistan stated that, despite the full support from the state, including financial support and tax benefits, the country's activities in the field of air services do not meet modern requirements.
Expressing dissatisfaction with this state of Affairs, the head of state issued a severe reprimand to the Chairman of the Agency "Turkmen airlines" D. Saburov for improper performance of official duties and shortcomings in the work, with the last warning about correcting the shortcomings as soon as possible.
