President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to stop deliveries from abroad of products that can be produced in Turkmenistan. The head of state stated this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
"We should stop supplying products from abroad that we can produce ourselves. This will not only create new jobs, but also preserve existing ones for entrepreneurs and citizens," Berdimuhamedov said.
The head of state also noted that it is necessary to give an additional impetus to the production of domestic import-substituting products, increase the output of export-oriented goods, and make rational use of the huge opportunities available in the sectors of the economy.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed Deputy Prime Minister Chary Gylyjov, who is responsible for the trade sector, to strictly monitor the implementation of the adopted programs and report on the results of their implementation on a monthly basis, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
