Us President Donald trump has temporarily appointed the us Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Matthew S. Klimow, to a high-level position in the State Department. He will serve as the state Department's inspector General.

As reported today in a press release of the American Embassy in Turkmenistan, Matthew S. Klimow returned to the United States to fulfill his duties in this position. He plans to return to Ashgabat after completing his temporary assignment, towards the end of this year.

"The state Department highly appreciates the return of Ambassador Klimow to Washington, DC, to serve as acting inspector General until the end of 2020," a state Department spokesman said.

It is noteworthy that the administration trump felt it necessary to involve Klimow to work at the state Department two months before the presidential elections in the United States.

The POLITICO reports that state Department Inspector General Matthew S. Klimow will serve for at least 90 days.

In turn, the Swords Today reports that two congressional aides have nominated Klimow for the position of inspector General of the State Department. One aide said he had the impression that he was in close contact with top Department officials.

In a note to the inspector General's staff, Klimow said He was ready to "roll up his sleeves, make decisions where he can."

"Ambassador Klimow was selected for this important position due to his extensive managerial experience and experience in senior positions," the us Embassy said in a press release.

Ambassador Klimow is a career civil servant who, in addition to serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan, has held senior positions in the White house, the State Department, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and as an officer in the United States army. He was awarded the Silver star medal, the third highest award of the United States for bravery in combat. Matthew S. Klimow assumed the duties of the us Ambassador to Turkmenistan in June 2019.
