On August 31, the signing ceremony of the "Memorandum of understanding on land selection" was held at the Afghan part of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project in Kabul. This was announced today by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Memorandum was signed by acting Minister of urban reconstruction and development of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan M. Karzai and representative of SC “Turkmengaz” on the Board of Directors of “TAPI Pipeline Company Limited” M. Amanov. The meeting was attended by acting Minister of mines and petroleum products of the IRA M. H. Chahansuri.
The TAPI project opens up wide opportunities for exporting energy resources to South Asian markets through Afghanistan.
