Today on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan the Cabinet of Ministers held a meeting to discuss priorities related to the implementation of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for the years 2019-2025 and further improving activities of agriculture, designated by the President at a meeting held on August 27 Cabinet meeting.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers in charge of the country's regions, agro-industrial, financial and economic, oil and gas, transport, trade and textile complexes, as well as hyakims of velayats, Minister of agriculture and environmental protection, Chairman of the State Committee on water management.

The meeting participants also discussed the preparation and organization of the upcoming important seasonal campaigns-winter wheat sowing and cotton harvesting.

The author analyzes the course of transformations, a significant vector of which is the transition to new forms of management focused on market relations, and the broad involvement of private producers in the industry.

In this context, issues related to increasing the production of various types of agricultural products, including livestock, as well as potatoes and other vegetables, for which additional acreage has been allocated in each velayat this year, were discussed in detail.

Special attention was paid to such topics as the effective use of special agricultural land funds created in the regions, the construction of new poultry and livestock complexes, agro-processing enterprises and greenhouses, and the provision of preferential Bank loans to entrepreneurs.

Complex tasks defined by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and in the further development of the chemical industry, providing farmers with necessary mineral fertilizers, which is also reflected in the agenda of today's meeting with heads of profile structures.

At the same time, plans were outlined for further work on the introduction of modern agricultural technologies into the agricultural sector, rational use of water resources, and the transition to a digital electronic management system.

During the meeting, working schedules and activities were specified for sowing winter cereals and cotton crops in optimal terms, effective use of high-performance agricultural machinery and equipment purchased in recent years for the needs of the agro-industrial complex, creating conditions for productive work of farmers and machine operators, and timely settlements with cotton growers for the raw crop handed over to the state.

At the same time, they discussed the state of Affairs at the facilities that are planned to be put into operation this year as part of the implementation of the National program for the transformation of social and living conditions of the population. The participants assured the head of state that they will make every effort to successfully solve their tasks, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
