Turkmenistan's neutrality became one of the topics on the agenda of the CIS SPP meeting

Yesterday, the CIS Executive Committee held a regular meeting of the Council of permanent Plenipotentiaries of the CIS member States in Minsk.

One of the issues on the agenda was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, the website of the CIS Executive Committee reports.

Permanent representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev informed his colleagues about the progress of the resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan on declaring the 2020 motto "Turkmenistan – the homeland of Neutrality", adopted at the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

A video clip on this topic was also shown.

The participants of the meeting congratulated the Ambassador on the anniversary of neutrality and wished the Turkmen people further success, peace and prosperity.

The next meeting of the Council of permanent Plenipotentiaries of the CIS member States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth will be held on September 22.
