Since the start of the spring campaign, 10 thousand tons of licorice root have been collected in the Lebap velayat.
Specialists of the Turkmenabat agro-industrial complex "Buyan" of the Ministry of health and medical industry of Turkmenistan are engaged in collecting valuable plants.
At the industrial base of the complex, the root is brought to the necessary condition-dried, cleared of impurities, and then goes for processing. A significant part of the collected raw materials is exported, and the surplus goes to the domestic market.
The campaign to extract the medicinal root continues and will last until the first frosts, "Turkmenistan: The Golden age" reports.
