Gulshat Mammedova, Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, took part in the 13th Summit of women speakers of the Parliament, which was organized online by the inter-Parliamentary Union together with the Austrian Parliament and the UN, from 17 to 18 August.
The Summit discussed in detail key aspects of the international agenda, including women's empowerment, improving their well-being, and eliminating gender inequality.
Protecting the rights and interests of women in our country, providing them with state benefits and increasing their role in social and political life is one of the priorities in the life of society that meets the goals of sustainable development, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
