Currently, two stages of deliveries of cotton harvesting equipment of the "John Deere" brand model 9970 are being carried out to Turkmenistan, reports metbugat.gov.tm.
Thus, the total number of grain and cotton harvesting units of this model purchased over the years is approaching 1000 units. Features purchased mechanisms were commented by the head of the technical Department production and technical Department of the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan, Sahetdurdy GOVSHAKOV:
Combines that the Ministry now takes on its own balance are distinguished by a powerful 250-horsepower engine, a comfortable cabin with good noise insulation, a roomy basket, and an automatic function for adjusting the height of the cut at different width of the aisle. The engine capacity of this model is 6.8 liters, the fuel tank holds 450 liters. Such units have been successfully tested for the conditions of Turkmenistan. Deliveries of the next batch are carried out within the framework of a two-year contract for the purchase of agricultural machinery, which was signed by the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan with the company "John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co. KG" (Germany) in compliance with the decree of the President of Turkmenistan. In accordance with its obligations, in 2019 the German manufacturer delivered 300 units of such cotton harvesters to our country, and this year there will be as many more. By now, half of the contract quantity has already arrived in the country, the rest will "arrive" before the end of August, that is, by the beginning of mechanized harvesting of raw materials.
